How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Spentence's data is in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup, so setting up the new iPhone from that backup brings it along.
You can also use Settings › Back Up to save one file with everything, somewhere other than your iPhone, such as iCloud Drive. On the new iPhone, set up Spentence, then use Settings › Restore from Backup.
How do I restore a backup?
In Settings › Restore from Backup, pick the .spentencebackup file. Spentence checks it and says what it holds, then asks before it replaces everything on this iPhone with it, including your settings.
Why does Spentence ask me to save my receipts?
A backup with more than 2,000 receipt photos may be too large to restore on some iPhones. From 2,000, Settings › Receipts asks you to save older years' receipts to Files and remove them from Spentence, or to delete them. Their transactions always stay.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Spentence starts with a fixed set of rates and never updates them by itself, since it doesn't connect to the internet. Change them or add others in Settings › Exchange Rates, or type the rate you got when you record a transaction.
How do I export my transactions?
Settings › Export CSV makes a file with your transactions and accounts, for a spreadsheet such as Numbers or Excel.
How does App Lock work?
Turn it on in Settings › App Lock, and Spentence asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode whenever it opens or comes back. It also hides its contents in the app switcher.
How do I delete my data?
Settings › Erase All Data deletes all your data and settings from this iPhone, once you type DELETE. Deleting the app removes everything too. Backups and exports you saved elsewhere aren't touched.
Can you recover my data?
No. Your data never leaves your iPhone, so there's no copy of it anywhere else. Keep a backup somewhere other than your iPhone.
